Here the report of my Students activities on job training in Borobudur temple.

The first day in Borobudur was very comfortable. It’s on Monday, 30th of June 2008. My friends and I went to Borobudur temple by foot because the distance from boarding house to temple was near. We went to the temple about at 07.00 a.m.
After we arrived in Borobudur, we hunted some tourist. First, I met Ms. Rine and Mr. Robies. Ms. Rine seem very beautiful and also Mr. Robies, he seem so handsome, first time they refused to made conversation with me, but after we explanated that we are the students, they accepted just to five minutes. They came from Holland and it was first time they came to Indonesia. Then we spoke many things, after we said good bye we took our picture.
Then we went up to the middle floor of Borobudur.
We met with a couple tourists with their mother. They were seen the relief on the wall of temple, they so friendly with us, their name were Mr. Carl Dean and Mrs. Felicity Hesster. They were Australian, when Mrs. Felicity said her name, her mother said that Felicity had a mean was “gladness”. This was not first time they came to Indonesia, bur they also ever went to Indonesia were to Bali Island and Lombok. Mrs. Felicity can spoke Bahasa, but just little words like “bagus, sama, terimakasih, sudah”. If Mr. Carl, he just said “sama – sama”. When we heard Mr. Carl and Mrs. Felicity spoke Bahasa, all of we were laugh, because it was funny. Their mother can spoke Bahasa well, because she has lived in Indonesia for three years. Then we asked their opinion about Borobudur, their said if Borobudur was the beautiful temple, in Australia there aren’t tourism spots like temple, but Australia had the forest, ocean and sand. They also gave a question to us about the subject whom we studied in the school, then we answer that the department that we studied was about the medicines. After that, we asked their e-mail and the mobile phone call’s number, but Carl and Felicity not had it. They visited Indonesia just to spent their holiday, after we took the picture with them, we asked their signature and the comment about our English, and then they wrote it on our book, We felt happily, after we felt enough, we isolated them. When we closed the conversation with said “thank you” Carl said “sama – sama” and all of we laugh together. Felicity and Carl was the tourist that friendly.
The comment of Felicity for my English, she said that my English was very good, much better than her Indonesian. While the Carl’s comment was “was good to speak with people English skills”
Then we walked to hunted tourist again, we went up and we met with the tourist from French, his name was Christian Hess. He came to Borobudur with his girl friend, but when we talked with him, his girl friend was went around Borobudur alone, Christian wrote his address on my book, he lived at Roa d’offon 1 CH – 3971 Chermignon, Switzerland, he like listening the music. After we have our picture, Christian said good bye, because he must looked for his girl friend, for me Christian was not friendly, so I not like him.
After we met Christian, we came back to boarding house together, the first day made conversation with tourist we felt nervous.
On Tuesday, 1st of July 2008 my friends and I hunted tourist again, but we went to Borobudur about a half past seven. I met a girl tourist from Holland, her name was Christian. She came to Indonesia alone and it was first time she came to Indonesia. Her hobbies were movies, shopping, and photographing. Then she said that in her country there isn’t the temple like in Indonesia but Holland had the monument, Christian’s e-mail was kristenkalverda@hotmail.com. She said that Borobudur was beautiful, amazing and architecture.
After we finished told with Christian, we went up Borobudur and we went with couple tourist there. Firstly we confused to started, but finally we gave greeting their. In fact they were friendly. First they refused, but after we flattered they and we said just to five minutes, finally they available. They were a couple tourist, their name were Hanny and Charis, they came from Hong Kong to Indonesia for holiday and it was first time they came to Indonesia, they said that Borobudur was the beautiful temple and amazing because Borobudur temple arranged by many stones, though their country had temple, but not big like Borobudur. They asked our opinion about Borobudur temple, because Borobudur was Buddhist temple, while we were a Moslem, next we answered “it’s OK, because we just visited it no to pray there”, and then Hanny said that he had gone to Indonesia ten years ago, Hanny and Charis not had a children and they had slanting eyes, finally we took our picture together.
We felt too tired, so we took a rest about five minutes, and then we looked tourist. Their were laughing, after we asked why their laugh, one of them answered that every they walked, the Indonesian people invited them to made conversation. First, they declined to tell with us, because they had to went soon, but we said just to some minutes, finally they accepted. They name were Neomy and Emma, they seem too young. They came from Scotland and in Indonesia to spend their holiday. Neomy was Ema’s friend, she can said “terimakasih”, but Emma was not. We asked Neomy’s e-mail and she wrote on my book, naomymills@hotmail.co.ule was Naomy’s e-mail, after that Emma invited Naomy went leave us.
The fourth tourist whom we met was a new married couple their name were Mr. Ben and Mrs. Flanves were available. Frist Mrs. Flanves pushed told with us, but after we gave explanation that we from school and practicing English there. Mr. Ben and Mrs. Flanves were available. This was first time they came to Indonesia and next week they would go to Bali for honey-moon, Mr. Ben work in the bank. They were a nice married couple. They were from London and in Borobudur stay in Amanjuro. Finally, we took our picture and said good bye.
On the end we went a nice tourist her name was Mrs. Sjoukje, she was Holland and come to Indonesia with her husband and he work in Jakarta. While Mrs. Sjoukje visited Borobudur and tomorrow (Wednesday) would went to Prambanan, she can spoke Indonesia like “terima kasih”. She gave e-mail to us was sjoukje@roem.eu and the website was www.japan.roem.eu. We’d like to send my picture to her website, after that Mrs. Sjoukje took our picture, we felt happily. For us she so nice.
Before we met Mrs. Sjoukje, we made conversation with one of the Borobudur worker; he told many things about Borobudur to us.
Finally, as we felt tired, we went to boarding house, even though we passed the Borobudur market. That day we not were shopping because we felt hungry. So as soon as we went to Bu Yati stall, after had lunch we went to boarding house about a half past one and then praying dzuhur, next we had napkin.
Wednesday, 2nd of July 2008 was the third day we on Borobudur. We went to Borobudur from boarding about house about at 07.30 a.m, because we soundly last night. Wednesday we met with three tourists. First, her name was Sophie, when that she was sit down alone with looked Borobudur. She was Scotland and stayed in Magelang for three weeks. Shopie like music, exactly rock music and American music. She had e-mail was ssos-bng@hotmail.com. In her country rice couldn’t grow, so peoples not ate rice as staple food, but Sophie always to made effort can ate rice every day. Her country always bought rice from other country. She also told about students in her country, she also like water-pool and soccer, her address was Perth, Scotland. She wrote a comment on my book was “Yuni, you must study hard because your spoken English is very good”. I felt so happy when read it, thanks Shopie. We made conversation with Shopie for long time, when we comfortable with her, she had to went. She was a nice and beautiful girl, so we felt comfortable made conversation with her and then we said good bye.
After finished told with Shopie, we protected to hunted tourist, although the weather was hot. Then we looked tourist were took the picture of Borobudur and next we invite her to made dialogue with us, first she not accepted, because had to went as soon as, but after we gave explanation to her if we had a task from our school, she available to made dialogue with us. Her name was Robyn, when we knew her name we so amazed, because she was a girl, but her name like boy’s name. Robyn very smart, she still study and took direction autobiography. She was Australian, she not had e-mail, she like music, exactly Indonesian music like gamelan. Before went to boarding house, we met a girl tourist, her name was Jessica.
Jessica came from Canada; she was a student and took a subject about animl medicines. Then Jessica and I went around Borobudur, when we around Borobudur, we spoke many things like about hobby, school, the country. After that I gave two riddles to Jessica, but she couldn’t answered it, when I gave that answer, she laugh, she also had e-mail: lin-jess@hotmail.com. Next we went down and said good bye because Jessica had to met somebody in the park, Jessica was very nice, friendly, and beautiful tourist. I felt difficult to missing the memories with her. Until in the boarding house, I still remember Jessica.
After finished told with tourist, we went down and enter to Karmawibangga museum. First, we just looked Buddha statuette, then we looked gamelan, we’d like to play it, and next somebody neutralized we to played it, finally we played gamelan, but we didn’t knew how to play it, then a dalang came to learned us, his name was Mr. Muhany. First day played gamelan we felt happy and many people came to looked us, like Indonesian people and the tourists. Finished played gamelan, we went to boarding house, but my friends bought something in Borobudur market. If we would bought something there, we had to could bargaining with seller, because the prices were so expensive, such us the price a bracelet was Rp, 3000, but after we bargained it, the price be Rp. 1000. We felt happy in that day.
On the afternoon, my friends, my teacher and I went to Mr. Muhany’s home from 06.30 p.m. Until 08.30 p.m. We went to there by motorcycle.
On Thursday 3rd of July 2008, we went wake up early morning, because we would went to Mendhut temple and Pawon temple, before went to it, we would swimming. We started from the boarding house at 06.00 a.m. by foot. Whereas, the distance was too far. First we went to Pawon temple, but it still close and than we went to swimming pool, before it we had breakfast. After that, we went to swimming pool, but it was closed, we felt disappointed because that moment all of us not got take a bath. During the way, we laugh, next we arrived in Mendhut temple, we look Buddha’s statuette there, even though we felt tired, we felt so happy. Finally we back to boarding house, after arrived in boarding house we took a bath, and felt fresh again.
On Friday, 4th of July 2008, I went to Borobudur with happily. I met a tourist from Switzerland his name was Michael. It was first time Michael came to Indonesia. He came to Indonesia to spend his holiday, before spoke many things; he finished our conversation, because he had to go around Borobudur. I felt very angry with him and I hate him.
After that we met with a foreigner from Canada, exactly from Toronto. He said that Toronto was the capital of Ontario and it was one of ten provinces in Canada. It was the most populous in Canada because had 31.000.000 peoples. We asked his signature and e-mail, he was a lecture in an university. When we felt comfortable with him, he had to went and the end we said good bye. We felt very happy can made dialogue with him.
Last in Borobudur was on Saturday 5th of July 2008. The last day in Borobudur, I just met a couple tourist, their name were Fransesco and Rikke. They were Italian. They couldn’t spoke Indonesian because they just three days in Indonesia. Fransesco was a Rikke’s boyfriend. The age of Fransesco was 27 years old and Rikke was 24 years old. frawatu@hotmail.com was Rikke’s e-mail. After hunted tourist my friends, my teacher and I went to Karmawibangga museum, we study the gamelan music there and Mr. Muhany was our teacher.
Saturday was a happy day for us, because we could spoke English with the tourist. Before went to boarding house, we shopping in Borobudur market. Finished shopping, we went to boarding house, arrived there; we prayed dzuhur, had a lunch and took a rest. On the evening, we packed our things, because on Sunday we had to Yogyakarta, we sad had to leave Borobudur, Borobudur saved many memories for us, we hope in other time could visit Borobudur and spoke with tourist again.
