Adjective is a word that indicates a quality of person or thing refered to by a noun.
Several kinds of Adjective
a. Descriptive Adjective is an adjective that explain this situation or characteristic among someone, something and animals. For examples: Clever, stupid, high, short, tall, low, beautiful ugly, good, bad, big, small, far, near, quick, slow, etc.
b. Numeral Adjective has three kinds. These are:
- Cardinal Number for Example: one, two, three, and so on.
- Ordinal Number for examples: first, second, and so on
- Fraction Number, for examples: one second, one third, etc.
c. Quantitative Adjective is an adjective that expresses the number of good such as much, many, some, any, a few, a little, a lot, etc.
d. Interrogative Adjective is an adjective that has fucntion as an interrogative statement. For instance: which one is ours?
e. Distributive Adjective is an adjective that concern with distribution of nouns. Examples: every…..,each……..,either…….or.., neither…nor, etc.
f. Proper Adjective is an adjective that has a function to sharp a proper noun. Examples: an English man, the Indonesian state, etc.
g. Demonstrative Adjective is an adjective shows the one or thing that is. Here, there are two kinds of demonstrative:
- Definite Demonstrative adjective: the this, those, these, the other, etc.
- Indefinite Demonstrative adjective: a, an, another, any other.
