1. Vocabulary: Common Hobbies and Activities

Here are some words and phrases related to hobbies and free time:

• Reading books

• Listening to music

• Playing football

• Watching movies

• Swimming

• Drawing

• Playing guitar

• Cycling

• Gardening

• Cooking

2. Grammar Focus: Simple Present Tense

We use the simple present tense to talk about habits and routines, including hobbies.

Structure:

• For “I/You/We/They”: base verb (e.g., I read, They play)

• For “He/She/It”: verb + -s (e.g., She reads, He plays)

Examples:

• I like watching movies.

• She plays the piano every day.

• They go cycling on weekends.

3. Sentence Patterns to Talk About Hobbies

• I enjoy ____.

4. Sample Dialogue

Objective:
